al = Alice's

write an equation for each statement
:
1. Ana's father is 5 times older than Ana
f = 5a
and Ana is twice as old than his sister Alice.
a = 2al
or divide eq by 2
al = .5a
In two years time, the sum of their ages will be 58.
(f+2) + (a+2) + (al+2) = 58
f + a + al + 6 = 58
f + a + al = 58 - 6
f + a + al = 52
replace f with 5a, replace al with .5a
5a + a + .5a = 52
6.5a = 52
a = 52/6.5
a = 8 yrs is Ana's age
