.

Let the son age will be x years.

Then your age is (x+30) years.

In three years . . .

    (x + 30) + 3 = 3*(x+3).

Simplify and solve

    x + 33 = 3x + 9

    33 - 9 =  3x - x

    24     = 2x

      x    =  = 12.

Thus the son is 12 years old; you are 12+30 = 42 years old.

ANSWER. You are 42 years old.

Solved.
