A man is five years older than his wife who is ten times as old as her daughter.
If the daughter attain the age of eight in three years time, what is the age of
man?
The daughter is 5 because she will be 8 in 3 years.

The wife is 50 because she is 10 times as old as her daughter. 

So the man is 55 because he is 5 years older than his wife.
