Answer by checkley71(8403) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
LET THE FATHER'S AGE=4X & HIS DAUGHTER'S AGE=X.
4X+6=3(X+6)
4X+6=3X+18
4X-3X=18-6
X=12 YEARS OLD IS THE DAUGHTERS AGE NOW.
PROOF
4*12+6=3(12+6)
48+6=3*18
54=54
Answer by awang1996(50) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
f=father
d=daughter
f=4d
4d+6=3(d+6)
4d+6=3d+18
-3d -3d
d+6=18
-6 -6
d=12
The daughter is 12
The father is 48
CHECK
4d=f
4(12)=48
48=48
