Answer by addingup(3677) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
K = 2 * L
we can write it like this:
K = 2L We'll use this value for K below
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
K-3 + L-3 = 48
2L-3 + L-3 = 48
3L - 6 = 48
3L = 54
L = 18
Lana is 18 and Katie is 2 * 18 = 36
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Three years ago:
18 - 3 + 36 - 3 = 48
15 + 33 = 48 Correct, you have the correct answer.
