Huh?

According to the other tutor, George's father is 18, which makes George 42.

There's something wrong there....!

I will hope that tutor correct his response.

Here is a completely different approach to solving the problem.

(1) Their combined ages now is 60; in 6 years their combined ages will be 72.

(2) If when their combined ages is 72 the father will be twice as old as George, then their ages will be 24 and 48. (The sum, 72, divided into the ratio 2:1)

(3) Since that will be 6 years from now, their current ages are 18 and 42.

Is this person for real? Then again, what should anyone expect!
If the father is 18, what does it make the son, 42 years-old?
Not in this or any other lifetime did I ever hear of a son being 24 years OLDER than his dad.
RIDICULOUS!!!
