Let x be the Paul's age.


Then his sister is 2x years old and his brother is (x-3) years old.


In total,  x + 2x + (x-3) = 33.


Simplify and solve for x:

4x - 3 = 33  ---->  4x = 36  ---->  x =  = 9.


Answer.  Paul is 9 years old; his sister is 2*9 = 18 years old, and Paul's brother is 9-3 = 6 years old.
