Write an equating for each statement
:
Shobo's mother's present age is six times shobo's present age .
m = 6s
Shobo's age five years from now will be one third of his mother's present age .
s + 5 = m
What are their present age?
In the 2nd equation replace m with 6s
s + 5 = (6s)
Cancel the 3 into the 6
s + 5 = 2s
5 = 2s - s
5 = s
S is 5 yrs old, then 6(5) = 30 is Mom's age
