The condition produces these two equations for the women's current aje A = 3J, (1) A - 10 = 5*(J-10). (2) Substitute an expression A = 3J of (1) into (2) to get 3J - 10 = 5(J-10), 3J - 10 = 5J - 50, 50 - 10 = 5J - 3J, 40 = 2J ---> J = = 20. Answer. Jayde is currently 20 years old. Anny is 3*20 = 60 years old.
