Answer by Boreal(15235)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x=dad's age now; y=Jill's age now
x+5=3(y+5)
x+5=3y+15
x+y=50
x=50-y
50-y+5=3y+15
40=4y
y=10. Jill is 10
Her father is 40
when he is 45, she will be 15.
