A father's age is thrice his son's age diminished by 15. The boys age is one half his mother. If the sum of their ages is 135, how old are they?
Let son's age be S
Then father's is: 3S - 15
Mother's is: 2S
We then get: S + 3S - 15 + 2S = 135
Solve to find S, the son's age.
Multiply S by 2 to get mother's age.
Subtract sum of son's and mother's ages from 135 to get father's.
It is that SIMPLE....nothing complex!!
