The second plane has no initial fee but costs $0.80 per mile driven. How many miles would Yolanda need to drive for the two plans to cost the same?

Let x be the number of miles driven.
70+0.30x = 0.80x
70 = 0.50x flip the equation to keep the x on the left
0.50x = 70 divide both sides by 0.50
x = 140 miles
At 140 miles they both cost the same.
