V       = 4A         (1)      (Present age . . . )
2(V+10) = 4(A+10)    (2)      (After 10 years . . . )

Divide (2) by 2 (both sides) and substitute V from (1) into (2). You will get

4A + 10 = 2(A+10),

4A + 10 = 2A + 20,

2A = 20 - 10,

2A = 10,

A = 5.

Hence, V = 4A = 4*5 = 20.

Answer.  A is 5, V is 20.
