Mike is eleven years old. It said that Jim's age is twice as old as Mike's age. To solve for Jim's age, multiply Mike's age by two, so Jim will be 22 years old. The problem is asking for Mike's age, given Jim's age. Now divide Jim's age by two because the problem said that Jim is twice as old as Mike is. Mike's age: 50/2 which 25. Mike's age is 25 years old when Jim is 50 years old.
