in 28 years, a woman will be twice as old as she will be in two years. How old is she now?

W + 28 = 2(W + 2),

W + 28 = 2W + 4,

28 - 4 = 2W - W,

W = 24.

Answer. Woman present age is 24 years.

Check: in two years W + 2 = 26.
       in 28 years W + 28 = 24 + 28 = 52.
       52 = 2*26.   OK.
