Hi there,
In thirty years a man will be 8 times
as old as he was 12 years ago.
x + 30 = 8(x - 12)
x + 30 = 8x - 96
Collect like terms
8x - x = 30 + 96
7x = 126
x = 18
Man is 18 years old.
