Phil is three times as old as Carrie. Five years ago, phil was four times as old as Carrie was at that time. How old is Carrie now?

Let Carrie's current age be C
Then Phil's is: 3C
Therefore, 3C - 5 = 4(C - 5)
3C - 5 = 4C - 20
3C - 4C = - 20 + 5
