let x=Jill's present age
x+4=Jack's present age
In 5 yrs:
x+5=Jill's age
x+4+5=x+9=Jack's age
x+5+x+9=58
2x=44
x=22
x+4=26
Jill's present age=22
Jack's present age=26

x+5+y+5= 58 Substitute for x:
y+4+5+y+5= 58
2y+14= 58 subtract 18 on both sides
2y= 44 divide both sides by 2
y= 22 Jill is 22 And Jack is 4 years older
x= 22+4= 26
