Answer by math-smartey1029(3)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You must read the words and put them into an equation that makes sense.
Variable x.......x
Is multiplied by 6........times 6
This product is equal to...... =
4........ 4
Times.... x
The variable y...... y
When you put it all together, what do you get?
6x = 4y
important: you must change these numbers in the answers around in order for them to make sense
for instance,
x times 4 would equal the same thing as 4x, because of the commutative property. Numbers from the same property, like multiplication and addition can be changed around:
a times b = b times a
Note: Both ways are correct
