2f-5 = g+3
f = g-8
-------------
Substitute for "f" and solve for "g"::
2(g-8)-5 = g+3
2g - 21 = g+3
g = 24 yrs (Glenn's age now)
Solve for "f":
f = g-8
f = 24-8 = 16 yrs (Francis' age now)
