The meter stick he's using is 3.5 in.
longer than a yardstick.
Suppose he lays the stick on the wall where he wants a
drapery 3 times and calls this 3 yds
The measurement is actually 3 yds + 10.5 in
When the drapery arrives, it will be 10.5 in. smaller
than it should be
