Question 902601: Would the number of apples purchased to the cost of the apples be a relation that is a function?
Answer by Theo(13342)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
should be a function because there is only one value of y for each value of x.
the eqaution would be:

y = x * c

c equals the cost per apple.
x = the number of apples.
y = the total cost.

this is a linear function that would represent a straight line which is a function because there is only one value of y for each value of x.
