Question 1191894: MAT 145: Topics In Contemporary Math
Use GCF or LCM to find each of the following.
2) Two clubs offer a “free day” (no admission charge) to recruit new members. The health
club has a free day every 45 days. A nearby swimming club has a free day every 60
days. If today is a free day for both clubs, how long will it be until a person can again
use both clubs for free on the same day?
Answer by Boreal(15235) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-------45--------------60
----3*3*5------------5*12=5*3*4
take one 5, the most 3s (2), and one 4
multiply them 5*3*3*4=180 days
That is 4 "revs" of the first and 3 of the second.
