Line up the x,y,z,u,v on the left and the 1,2,3,4,5 on the right.

Draw a line from the x to the 5
----------------------------------
the y may go to one of 4 points (1,2,3,or 4)
----------------------------
The z may go to one of 3 that remain
The u may go to one of 2 that remain
the v can only go to the remaining point
--------------------------------------------
Total number of possible connections: 1*4*3*2*1 = 24
