Question 60300: This is not from a text book it was custom made.
Simplify 1+1/(c-1)/1-1/(c-1) ---> for solver format((1+1/(c-1)))/((1-1/(c-1)))
It gave me the answer 1/(c-1)+1/1/(c-1)-1 Is this correct? I was thinking the answer would be -1?
This is the way it looks on the worksheet.
Simplify:
1 + 1
___
c-1
__________ =
1 - 1
___
c-1
Thank you very much I hope you can help.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The complex fraction you made up is undefined the way you have it written. The bottome fraction hac a numerator of 1-1, 1-1=0. That makes the bottom fraction equal to 0, which makes the top fraction undefined. You can't divide by 0.
