well you cannot divide fractions.

What you can do however, is to invert the second fraction and the multiply. This is equivalent to saying:

6/2 = 3

and
6* (1/2) = 3

are the same thing.

so 7(1/8) --> 57/8
and 5(3/5) --> 28/5

--> 57/8 * 5/28
nothing cancels down, so just have to multiply the numbers as they are, to give 285/224.
