The temperature of the crime scene has remained at a constant 71F. Determine when the person was murdered. Assume that the temperature of the body at the time of death was 98.6F."

If the decrease in body temperature is linear, then the temperature drops at a rate of 9 degrees F per hour (from 93F at 3:00AM to 82F at 4:00AM)
From the time of death (body at 98.6F) to 3:00AM (body at 93F), the temperature has dropped (98.6F-93F=5.6F) 5.6 degrees F.

At 3:00AM, the body has been dead for 37 minutes, so time of death was 2:27AM
