Question 96527: The problem is: (x+3)(3x-2)=0
So far, I have done: x+3=0 3x-2=0
x=-3 3x=2
x=2/3
Only -3 fits the domain, but 2/3 doesn't. So do I put empty set?
Could you explain please?
Thank you very much!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
No; if only one root lies in the domain you have to write that root as the solution not empty set.
