It is neither a whole number nor a natural number. Natural numbers are either whole numbers (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...) or counting numbers (1, 2, 3, 4, 5...). Negative numbers, in this case, , are not natural numbers and are not whole numbers.

Natural numbers are counting numbers. What is the first number you can count with your fingers? It's 1, so natural numbers go: 1,2,3,4,5,6... etc. Note that fractions are not natural numbers.
Whole numbers include all natural numbers +0(zero). And just like natural numbers, whole numbers do not include fractions like 0.285 or 1/8.
Integers are like whole numbers, but they also include negative numbers ... but still no fractions allowed.
Positive integers are natural as well as whole numbers (0 is whole but not natural). Integers, like -20 are just that: integers.
