add 8 to both sides so that we can isolate 3x:
=(3x-8)+8 =(+2)+8

Multiply 2 to both sides so that is not in fraction form"

=6x=x+20

Subtract x from both sides to isolate the +20
=(6x)-x=(x+20)-x
=5x=20
Divide both sides by 4
