absolute value of -5/6 is 5/6
Think of "absolute" as "distance".
Absolute -5/6 is the distance from
0 to -5/6. That distance is 5/6

I have no idea what you are asking.
| -5/6 | = 5/6
or
2/3 + 1/2
4/6 + 3/6 = 7/6 or 1 1/6
