You can always add the two numbers and then divide by 2. That will give you the midpoint between the numbers.

1/5 + 2/3 = (3+10)/15 = 13/15
.
13/15 * 1/2 = 13/30
.
Note that dividing by 2 is the same as multiplying by 1/2.

1/5 = .20
2/3 = .67
13/30 = .43
.
