Please help with:
In a triangle ABC, angle B is 4 times angle A and angle C is 7(degrees) less than 5 times angle A.
What are the sizes of the angles?
Equations:
B = 4A
C = 5A-7
A+B+C = 180
-------------
Substitute for B and for C, and solve for "A":
A + 4A + 5A-7 = 180
10A = 187
A = 18.7 degrees
----
B = 4A = 4*18.7 = 74.8 degrees
-----------------
C = 5*18.7 -7 = 86.5 degrees
