try to factor
1*8=8
we want factors of 8 which add up to 5
+ and -
8/1
4/2
2/4
1/8
there are no factors of 8 with add up to 5
The polynomial is prime.
x^2 + 6x + 8
find factors of 8 (see above) which add up to 6
(x+2)*(x+4)
