This is all just knowing and understanding proportions. your first proportion that has already been given to you is 2/-6 (which can also be written as 2:-6 or -6:2) When I look at this I notice that 6 is -3 times larger than 2. In result, w must be -3 times larger than your new z (-3). Henceforth, to figure this out you would do -3x-3 which is 9.
