Notice the difference in meaning between "Can I?" and "May I?"
It is more that etiquette and grammar.
Do you want a volunteer tutor or a paid tutor?
Do you want someone who just gives you the complete answers with steps or someone who teaches you?
There is a misconception on this website that the best tutors always give the whole answers with steps. Not true, if you are spoon fed, you never learn to eat by yourself.
