Question 256826: Show Work please....Totally confused
Question: Of a possible quotients of the numbers 10, -1/2, -5, and 1/5, which two produce the largest quotient and which two produce the lowest quotient?

Answer by richwmiller(17219)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
10 divided by 1/5 is the same as multiplying by 5 so the quotient is 50
Lowest would be -5 divided by 1/5 with -25 as the quotient.
10 divided by -1/2 is the same as multiplying by -2 so the quotient is -20.
Two things to remember are that negative is lower than plus (positive) and that
dividing by a fraction is the same as multiplying by its reciprocal.
