Starting with REAL Numbers as opposed to COMPLEX Numbers
.
Real numbers include + and -, "whole numbers", fractions , and decimals
.
Complex or imaginary include, a+bi,, type
..
INTEGERS are "whole numbers" , including + & -
.
Therefore a REAL, INTEGER, is basically any "whole number"
.
Example, -1, 0, +1, +50 etc.
.
.
RATIONAL Numbers are numbers that can fit the form,a/b.
.
For example, any "whole number" can be made to a/b by putting 1 in denominator, for example 1 becomes 1/1, 2 becomes 2/1. etc
.
All fractions are automatically in for a/b, and are Rational
.
DECIMALS, FINITE decimals can be made into fractions,a/b, and therefore are RATIONAL. For example,,0.5 = 1/2,,,0.25=1/4,,,,0.375=3/8,,,etc
.
Infinite, BUT REPEATING decimals, can also be made into fractions, and are therefore RATIONAL. For example,,,0.3333=1/3,,,.66666666=2/3,,etc
.
IRRATIONAL Numbers are those that are not rational.
.
INFINITE but NOT REPEATING DECIMALS are not capable of the form a/b,and are therefore IRRATIONAL.For example (1) pi=3.1415......,,,and (2) any sqrt that is not perfect,,,such as sqrt2=1.414...,,sqrt3=1.732....etc
.
{{note, perfect sqrt are RATIONAL, such as sqrt4=2=2/1, sqrt9=3=3/1,,etc}}
.
.
That being said, A REAL - IRRATIONAL number might be pi, sqrt2, sqrt3
.
A REAL-RATIONAL-INTEGER might be -1, +1, +50
.
Hopefully this helps

is a real number and it is irrational.
is a real number and it is irrational.
-----
an irrational number is a number that cannot be expressed as the ratio of 2 integers.
-----
the fractional part of an irrational number is endless and non repeating.
-----
1/3 is a rational number because it is a ratio of 2 integers. the fractional part is endless but it is repeating, i.e. 1/3 = .3333333333333... which goes endlessly.

-----
a number that is real, rational, and an integer is any of the integers since any of the integers are rational because they can be divided by an integer which is 1.
example
1 = 1/1 = real, rational, and integer.
4/2 = 2 = real, rational, and integer.
5/1 = 5 = real, rational, and integer.
12/3 = 4 = real, rational, and integer.
-----
a real number can be defined and is not imaginary.
is not real because it is imaginary.
is not real because it is undefined.
