6x^2-14x+4=(3x-4)(2x-1)

That's not correct.
6x^2-14x+4 = 3x^2 - 7x + 2 (divide by 2)
= (3x-1)*(x-2)
Or, for the original, double either binomial:
6x^2-14x+4 = (6x-2)*(x-2), or
6x^2-14x+4 = (3x-1)*(2x-4)
--------------------
(3x-4)*(2x-1) = 6x^2 - 11x + 4, not the same.
