Question 15116: 4(-3x-5))-(10+4x) Simplify? Can someone help me with this?

Answer by jb007mi6(53)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
it's easier if you break it down in parts
so the first part
4(-3x+5)
distribute the 4 and get
-12x+20
the next part is
-(10+4x)
if you distribut the negative, you get
-10-4x
so then you have
-12x+20-10-4x
combine like terms
-16x+10
