problem: 3/x^2+4x-5 minus 2x/x-1=
here's what i have so far i found the LCD which is (x-1)(x+5)
3/(x+5)(x-1)minus 2x(x+5)/(x-1)(x+5)=
3-2x^2+5x/(x-1)(x+5)
and there is where i got stuck!

you started out great but messed up a little bit in your algebra, here is how it should be worked out.

---> Factor the denominator
---> Multiply to get common denominator
---> Simplify
---> rewrite in proper form

thats as simplified as it gets.
