I need to present a project that wants 12 examples of 4 different types of irrational numbers. I know they presented as square roots, and fractions. Can you please help me understand what the other two could be?
-----------------
pi, e, sqrt(x) where x is not a perfect square,
cube rt. (x) where x is not a perfect cube
4th rt. (x) where x is not a perfect 4th power
etc.
----------
Real-world examples:
The distance from home-plate to 2nd base is an irrational number.
The area of a circle is an irrational number.
The volume of the earth (a sphere) is an irrational number.
The perimeter of a circle is irrational number.
--------------
By the way "fractions" does not guarantee the number is irrational.
a/b is rational if a and b are integers and b is not 0.
-------------------
For more information you might use Google on the internet to
find "irrational number examples" or "irrational number applications".
-----------------------
Hope that helps.
