My student call this the FOIL method
First terms 4*6 = 24
Outer terms 4 * -2i = -8i
Inner Terms 3i*6 = 18i
Last Terms 3i*(-2i) = 6 (see, i*i=-1, and -6*-1 is 6
The sum is 30+10i
