Simply solve for 'x' as though the "greater than" sign (>) was an "equal sign". But, remember to "flip" the sign ONLY if you multiply or divide by a negative number.

multiplying both side by 'x':
11 > 12x
dividing both sides by 12:
11/12 > x

solution: x is "less than" 11/12
