Question 91120: Hello, my question is this: The length of a rectangle is 1cm longer than its width. If the diagonal of the rectangle is 4cm, what are the dimensions (the length and width) of the rectangle?
I started with a sketch of the problem and came up with the equation
x^2+(x+1)^2=4^2
x^2+x^2+2x+1=16
2x^2+2x-15=0
Now I don't know where to go from here Help me please!

Question 91123: Hello, I need help with this question. The equation is h=-16t^2+112t this makes an equation of the height of an arrow shot upward with a velocity of 112ft/s t=the time the arrow leaves the ground. What is the time it takes for an arrow to reach a height of 180.
I got 180=-16t^2+112t
But I don't know where to go from here I am so confused.
