In this video lesson, I explain how to factor quadratic functions. Factoring is essentially the reverse of FOILing. There is one simple "trick" to factoring quadratic functions: you need to guess numbers a and b so that a+b is the number multiplied times the x term, and ab is the constant term. Once you've guessed a and b, the quadratic function is (x+a)(x+b). For more details and some examples, see the video!
