the question is.. A falcon dives toward a pigeon on the ground.
when the falcon is at a height if 100 ft the pigeon sees the falcon. which is diving at a 220 ft per sec. estimate the time the pigeon has to escape.

for some reason you also have to use the quaratic formlua

I moved the 8x over and came out with 3x^2-8x+5=0.My teacher taught me to use this box and i did and came up with (3x-5+5)=0+5 and (x-1+1)=0+1 and i divided and came up with x=5/3 and 1. PLEASE HELP I REALLY TRIED!!!

-12ab, 21a^2, 18ab^2, -21b^2
now where i'm having the trouble is there are no common terms. Or at least I can't see any because there are non that have both an a and b or just an a or b I"m assuming 3 and then something after it but I have no clue..I know it's probably an easy answer but I can't seem to come up with it. Thanks
