Question 973715: Solve
Answer by Boreal(15235)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(2x-1)/(x+1)-(3x)/(x-2)=(-8x-7)/(x^2-x-2)
Multiply everything by (x-2)(x+1):
(2x-1)(x-2)-(3x)(x+1)=-8x-7
2x^2-5x+2- 3x^2-3x=-8x-7
-x^2-8x+2=-8x-7
-x^2+9=0
x^2-9=0
x=3, -3
check
(5/4) -(9)=(-31)/4 checks for 3
(-7/-2) - (-9/-5)= 17/10
(7/2) -(9/5)= (35-18)/10=17/10
