In the first place, I'm not sure where you got 57 under the radical. The quadratic formula only works when the RHS of your quadratic equation is zero, in other words, it has to look like this:

So the first thing you need to do is add the additive inverse of the quantity in the RHS to both sides, thus:
Then since, in this case, you have a common factor of 2 in each of the non-zero terms, you can divide both sides by 2:
NOW you can use the quadratic formula (or complete the square if you are a glutton for punishment)
