Question 962138: Help me plz I think I am doing this completely wrong
Word question
Lilly a goalie for a soccer team needs to get the ball downfield to her teammates on the offensive end of the field she punts the ball from a point 2 feet above the ground with an intial upward velocity of 40 feet per second
Write a function rule that relates the balls height above the field h to its time in the air t (recall that gravity pull is 16t^2)
Work I have done
With the information I thought the formula would be -16t^2+40t+.2h=0
But I can't solve it I'm not even sure if the furmula is right Plz help

Lilly a goalie for a soccer team needs to get the ball downfield to her teammates on the offensive end of the field she punts the ball from a point 2 feet above the ground with an initial upward velocity of 40 feet per second
Write a function rule that relates the balls height above the field h to its time in the air t (recall that gravity pull is 16t^2)
Work I have done
With the information I thought the formula would be -16t^2+40t+.2h=0
------------------
h(t) = -16t^2 + 40t + 2 (not .2h)
------
Nothing to solve, nothing asked for.
